- in the 70`s, microprocessor was developed
- so, a lot of people bought a pc

- 1949, Edmund C. Berkeley introduce with “Simon” the first digital programmable
computer for home use
- it consists of 50 relay
- in the first 10 years, over 400 pieces was sold
- the first commercial “desktop computer” was released in 1965
- it was the “Programma 101”
- 1968, “Hewlett-Packard Company“ (HP) produce a programmable computer
- it cost twice as much from an average gross yearly salary
- there wasn`t any integrated circuits
- 1973, “Xerox PARC” present a device almost as large as a fridge with keyboard, a 3
keys mouse, a little 5 keys keyboard for additional character, a monitor with
a graphic user interface and an Ethernet interface
- it was a scientific device
- it wasn`t designated for the home user and it wasn`t prepared
- 1975, "Altair 8800" presented a complete device as a building kit for 379,- U.S. $
and as a complete unit for 695,- U.S. $
