Hallo habe entlich mein Englisch Reférat fertig und mich würden ein paar Meinungen dazu gerne interresieren bzw. Verbesserungsvorschläge nehme ich auch gerne an.

Good morning,
In my Kurrent event I speak of the winter chaos in Germany.

Knee high Schneeverwehungen, glassy sidewalks and trembling drivers: Deeply Petra has covered Germany with snow, wind and ice and has provided on Thursday for considerable traffic obstructions.
In Sachsen nothing more went on Wednesday on highways often. Drivers had to wait with minus degrees for hours on theirs go on.
In Nordrhein-Westfallen snow and ice brought to a standstill the traffic partially. On the highways the carriages stood close together. The cars collected on a length of 131 kilometres. On the highway A3 near Duisburg some drivers endured since Wednesday evening with bitter cold. At night, in which a ban on driving was covered for truck, the highway had reached even in length of 185 kilometres.
In Thüringen had to endure up to 100 drivers with ice cold at night on the federal highway. Between Weimar and Erfurt had fully been closed the B7 from midnight in both directions. In the morning the chaos freed itself only slowly against.
In some towns of Germany already becomes against litter salt scarce. Thus the stocks reach possibly in Münster only up to the week-end and in Bonn still till Monday. Though salt is reordered when it is delivered, however, is still open.

But also the air traffic was partially put. Thousands of passengers waited in Frankfurt am Main for her takeoff. 560 flights were stroked. However, the cancelations more airports other on problems are to be led back in Europe. German and international airports had problems, under it also the airports of Amsterdam and Belfast. In Berlin-Tegel just one third of the flights has been stroked because of persistent snowfalls. Though the Enteisung of the airplanes poses no more problems, because the snow has become finer, but, nevertheless, the winter service is there since Tuesday in the long-term application.

Also people travelling by train had to accept train failures and big delays. The long-distance traffic was concerned in Nordrhein-Westfallen , Sachsen –Anhalt and Thüringen.
A regional express train remained lying on the distance from Hamburg to Lübeck. After the battery of the train was exhausted, the heatings and the lighting fell out. With 400 passengers fallow panic from. After 2 hours the fire brigade and the Katasthropenschutz arrived and brought the people in a gymnasium. Before it the conductor might not open the doors for safety reasons, because on the branch lines still trains went. Because of the back up 38 trains were concerned by the stream failure. Thousands of travellers stuck in the interim at her railway stations in the cold.

However, in low mountain ranges of Germany the nice sides of the winter can be also enjoyed. The pupils in the whole country will be glad about the winter weather. In Mecklenburg-Vorpommern the lessons precipitate at all schools. In share of Sachsen, Nieder Sachsen and Bayern is called it also freely of snow. The Thüringen wood expects many winter sportsmen on the fourth Advent week-end on offer are more than 800 kilometres long distances and lifts.

My opinion as a driver in addition:. Many drivers are not simply able to estimate the street relations AND to adapt her driving manner accordingly. I also do not know whether one can call it a disaster if one must pause on account of a blizzard for hours in a traffic jam on the highway and is supplied, besides, still by charitable organisations with water, coffee, tea and covers.
Certainly such a situation is not quite pleasant, but one has not taken himself this risk, against all weather predictions. If one ignores such important infos, one also has to do such an event survives

Beispiel:
Zitat:
In share of Sachsen, Nieder Sachsen and Bayern is called it also freely of snow. The Thüringen wood expects many winter sportsmen on the fourth Advent week-end on offer are more than 800 kilometres long distances and lifts.

Was soll das denn bitteschön bedeuten?
