Privacy is defined as the area of every person which nobody is allowed to touch without its permission. Privacy is grounded as a moral conception and today it is a basic law as “generally personality right”.
The frequency of broken privacies increases because of security checks. The Nine-Eleven has shown that freedom and privacy is attacked increasingly. Arrangements after terroristic attacks were that the visitation of airports (?) were very detailed and had taken a longer time. Persons who want to travel by plane were not allowed to carry some normal things. For instance shampoo wasn’t allowed to exceed a maximum size,
because you could entrain a liquid to build a bursting charge. The privacy was strong attacked by justice ( welche maßnahmen?) to avoid terroristic assaults.
Today there are even more possibilities to x-ray the privacy by using new technologies.
Another example is the fight against criminal by using technical devices.
For example suspected terrorists are intercepted with bugs to avoid terroristic attacks. It’s legal that the police get the permission to search a house in order to find dangerous objects.
In other cases a series of suspects is descried, so that the police get the possibility to catch a drug-dealer red-handed for example.
The Telekom, for example, reacts by special words. That means they save facts during s call which are about an attack.
The question is how far they can go to protect the population?
While the internet is developing, a change happened. Almost everyone use the internet. In the internet there are pages where you can establish a profile that nearly everybody can read. Many persons reveal private characteristics or upload half-naked pictures. For people often it’s easy to get to know things about every other person.
Besides, there exist web pages like “www.seh-ich-sexy-aus.com” where you can give people a rating for their look.
In my opinion, privacy is very important. It is offensive to me if somebody tells something about me, without my agreement. Besides I take care what I reveal about myself.
On the one hand I think that sometimes safety measures, to avoid terroristic attacks, are overacted, but on the other hand they are simply necessary.
In my opinion people who own a profile in the internet are stupid, when they reveal private information about their identity on web pages, where everyone can read them. People who upload provocative and sexual pictures onto public web pages got inferiority complexes.
For future I want the privacy to be more respected.
