Our previous energy systems are based on oil, nuclear reactions and other methods that do harm to our blue planet.


The currently proceeding energy transition represents the change to renewable sources of energy, for example wind and water power, solar energy, biomass or geothermal heat.
There are plenty reasons that justify this reform:
· A big advantage is the elimination of nuclear accidents like Chernobyl or Fukushima. This cut of nuclear power stations also reduce the amount of radioactive garbage.
· Another reason is the climate change which is caused by greenhouse gas emissions that come with the burning of coal, oil and more.
· The, presumably, best reason for the energy revolution is the most obvious one: renewable energy sources are constantly available and do not need to be imported.
These are likely the main reasons why the Bundestag has decided to start the energy transition in June 2011. Now the most important aims are the abandonment of nuclear energy until 2022, the reduction of electricity consumption until 2050. The renewable sources of energy contribute up to 80% in the electricity supply compared to [INSERT NUMBER %] in 2008
