History of Thanks Giving

Reminded of the first harvest festival of the Pilgrim Fathers 1621st these had Thanksgiving fled because of a religious following with the legendary Mayflower from Europe in the year.
The half of the pilgrims didn`t survive the first hard winter.
But the store cupboards were filled in the second year.
Saving angel was an Indian who spoke English. His name was Squanto.
He showed the people from the city hunting, fish and trap places.
He taught the immigrants which vegetables and fruits were edible and taught them to distinguish medicinal herbs of poisonous plants, to cultivate indian corn and to tap the syrup from the maple trees.
The pilgrims thanked mother nature for the rich gifts according to a European tradition and also invited the chief of the neighbour tribe to come.
The white immigrants were frightened when this came with 90 guests.
The Indians wanted to celebrate their own fall event called the “Green Corndance”, a cleaning ritual.
They had brought along themselves five deer as provisions.

So 140 people celebrated for three days and provided it that this celebration remained an unforgettable event in the history of the United States.
