Richard Papen come to the Hampden College in Hampden, Vermont. He wants to study Greek but the teacher, who teachs Greek teachs only five students.
Richard wants to have informations about the teacher and this five students. He finds out that the students called Charles, Camilla, Henry, Bunny and Francis. Charles and Camilla are twins and they’re orphan. Henry’s dad is a bank-president and about this he’s very rich. After a few weeks Richard meets Bunny, Charles and Camilla. They talk about a problem in Greek. Richard helped them and the three students say to him that he had to come again to Julian Morrow , the Greek –teacher. Richard goes again to this teacher and he talks with him. The teacher want to teach him but when he does Richard had to study only by him. He has to cancel all the other courses, which weren’t teaching by Julian. Only French is teaching by an other teacher. After a few times Bunny, Henry, Charles, Camilla and Francis get friends to Richard. One day Bunny wants to go eating with Richard and at the end nobody had enough money to pay all the drinks and the food. Bunny phone Henry and he comes to the restaurant and pay for them. Francis aunt has a house, where they stay every weekend. They have much fun there. At the winter-holidays Bunny and Henry drive to Rome and Francis, Camilla and Charles aren’t in Hampden, too. Only Richard stay there, because he hasn’t enough money. After Henry came back he finds Richard. Richard had to go in a hospital because he was very ill, because he had live in a very cold room for the wintertime.
