Kurzer Englischtext über Milch: Bitte korrigieren

Hallo, für ein Projekt habe ich nochmal einen kurzen Text über die Produktion von Milch geschrieben. Ich wäre wieder sehr dankbar, wenn mir jemand Tipps oder Verbesserungsvorschläge zukommen lassen könnte.

To produce milk cows are caged and raped over and over again, so they can give birth to calves. Immediately the babies are removed from their mothers, so we are able to drink mother`s milk from another species.

The male calves are slaughtered only a few months after their birth because they are useless for the milk industry while the female calves will share the same destiny as their mothers.

Besides, cruelty to animals milk contains lactose which can be a reason for health issues to many people and moreover cholesterol , hormones and arrears of antibiotics what forwards cancer among other things.
