A daily magazine reported about the environment and has invited readers to write to the editor, giving views about how government and individuals can cooperate to protect the global environment.

Dear editor,
I’m writing to express my opinions on how government and individuals should join efforts with environmental problems.
Pollution and global warming are such enormous issues that they cannot be solved solely by the government. The public must be the second front in the fight against climate change.

We already have such public organisations like Greenpeace, which operate on an international dimension. What concerns me is the lack of public action groups at a local level. Local environmental organisations are especially needed to raise public awareness of the environmentally-friendly choices available. These include having domestic waste recycled and help the people to change their attitude about how to save environmental pollution.

As an example, not every household in my area is aware of the choice available to buy "green energy" from an electricity company . Informing consumers of these options could be one of the objectives of local groups. In addition, individuals could be encouraged to save electricity by buying energy-efficient electric bulbs and electric appliances.

Another thing which would save global warming is that people should
take the public transport, or the bike. The rise of CO2 would sink enormously.
Plastic bags, for instance, shout be swapped with ecological cotton bags. Another basic for saving the earth is the use of recycled paper.
If we all think ecologic the world would be a better one. Not only the government should do something, individuals should also save the global warming. Local environmental organisations are especially needed to raise public awareness of the environmentally-friendly choices available. It is never too late somebody did something.
