In these times of global recession the concerns about jobs in Germany are growing. A spokesman of the German association of employers called for stricter regulation to promote German products.
For me it is really important to discuss about this topic, because it is an important aspect for our union.
But is it really always best to buy german?

First of all I would like to look at some positive aspects of buying german products. The cachet "Made in Germany" is a sign of high quality and old good german craft. Brands like BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Bayer, Adidas and Nivea are only some examples of german high quality products. This brands are known allover the world. The reason for this are the strict control prescriptions in Germany and the ambition of the companies to be the best. Companies like Miele are proud and feel confident to their products. When you buy a Miele wasching machine, you get a longlife garantee. It also makes sense to buy these products and not a cheep china copy. The second one will be broken in short time. Furthermore there is the environmental demage by transport of products from other countries. If we would only buy our products, we would decrease the environmental demage of our planet, with less Co2 emission.
Besides we Improve our economy, when we only buy german products. At the point of view as a representative of the youth group of my local union , we should buy german to rescue our jobs, here in Germany.

Lets take a look on one disadvantage, which are the high costs of these products. For a normal german worker it is not possible to buy a high quality shoes in Germany. It costs more than 200 Euros. Also the production costs in Germany are higher than in developing countries. These german worker has to avoid on other cheeper shoes, which are produced in another country.

The first argument ist most important because, we should protect our jobs, our planet and our economy.
Is it really always best to buy german?
Yes, there are more arguments for it, than against it.
