Verbesserungsvorschläge?!
Ladies and Gentleman,
Thanks a lot for your large attendance.
Today I want to talk about an extremely important topic.
Absolutely everybody of you has already heard somewhat of globalization. But what is this exactly? “The globalization is a process with which worldwide relations are invested in many different ranks (www.globalisierung-fakten.de).” Many people think it concerns them nothing, but globalization is constant in our everyday life. The people are too little enlightened about that what globalization means for our daily life. In addition in Germany or also in other European countries, we notice nothing of the connections and the active effects.
You must admit that each of us has already shopped (once) trendy fashion to shocking cheap prices. Whether with or without bad conscience, nearly everybody knows that the clothes were produced from abroad. At the latest make purchases in the supermarket everybody hat contact with the globalization. At every season there are a lot of different kinds of fruits and vegetables in the offer, which were not grown in Germany.
But back again to the cheap clothes, how can it be that they are so cheap? It´s easy: women from Bangladesh, China, Vietnam and so on, get starvation wages for their hard work. It is obvious that they are exploited. And we support this crime because we shop the cheap products.
But what can we do against it? We should change our buying behavior and be ready to pay more money on fair-trade products. More money for a fair-trade economy. To boycott the companies in the foreign countries, doesn´t make sense. They would be etablish anew at a new place. If we spend more money on our clothes and so on, the exploited women can get more wages and finance her life. A boycott would be justified but would not make sense because in the situation the women earn no more money. In this poverty the companies would produce illegally or establish anew at a new place. The women who produce the cheap fashion live like slaves.
We must change together something in this exploitation!
This cannot go on!
The future looks different!
Thank you very much for your attention!
