Hi ich muss bald einen Vortrag in Geografie auf englisch halten. Daher wollte ich fragen, ob vielleicht jemand korrigieren könnte. Würde mich sehr freuen. Schon mal danke im Voraus.

Introduction
Everyone needs water.
For example to drink, to wash clothings or for the Toilette. All in one a european houshold consumes an average of 1500 litres of water per day per person. Only threee of the 150 litres we need for Food and drin, the rest is for home, gardern or car.
The earth ist with 71% covered with water. Thereof 97,5% are salt water and only 2,5% Freshwater. But only 0.07% of the Freshwater is accessible(erreichbar) to the People.
Many countries are affacted by water shortage. or example Nigeria, Kenia, Mali or Somalia. A Country is affected by water shortage, when there are less than 1700m3 Freshwater in one Country for one People for one year. Together 1.2 billions People have no clean water.

The consequences
In the last 50 years the water consumption of the world has doubled. But what are the consequences? One consequence is, that water shortage makes ill. Unclean water bred diseases. Millions of People die because of avoidable(vermeidbare) diseases.
Water shortage also threatendes the development of the People. Monly women or children are threatened, since thes have to constiluted water and so they hae no time to collect Money or go to School. Also the water shortage make hungry, since the land an animal farming need water and without this the fruits don´t grow and the People have nothing to eat.

Solutions of water shortage
There war many Solutions for water shortage . One solution is that one conduct Research, how we can get more freshwater from the amount of the water from the earth.
One example for this is desalination of sea water which has that the People can drink the sea water. But this solution has a big desadvantage, since the machine is very cheep and the countires which are affected by water shortage don´t have moneey to buy the machine which distil sea water. A cheaper solution is that one build tanks to catch the rain water. Moreover one should clean polluted water an reuse it. Also wen should dispose our waste better, since without disposing qour waste right we pollute 1200km3  per day and the world only has1.386 millions km3. Disposing qur waste is not very cheep, but the effect is hight.

Introduction
Everyone needs water. For example to drink,
to do the washing (laundry) or for the toilet flushing (Toilettenspülung; wenn Du das meinst…). All in one an European household consumes an average of 1500 litres of water per day per person. Only three of the 150 litres (oben steht aber 1500 litres… welche Zahl gilt?) we need for food and drink , the rest is for home, garden or car. About 71% of the earth’s surface is covered with water. 97,5% of the water on the earth is salt water and only 2% of all the water on earth is freshwater that we could actually use, if there weren’t  1,6 % locked in polar ice caps and glaciers.
A country is affected by water shortage, if  there are less than 1700m3 freshwater per person per year. Many countries are affected by water shortage, such as African countries in the Sahelian Zone like Nigeria, Kenia, Mali or Somalia. Together 1.2 billions of people have no clean water.

The Consequences
During the last 50 years the water consumption of the world has doubled. But what are consequences of water shortage? Since water is essential for survival, people in affected countries are forced to drink low quality water from flowing streams. So one consequence is, that they fall ill/get sick. Unclean water spreads diseases. Millions of people even die because of those avoidable (vermeidbare) diseases.
Another consequence is, that water shortage is the reason for bad or even non-education of the people because mainly women and children have to collect water for the family. So they are too tired or have no time go to school or to collect money.
Water shortage also means that farm animals will die and others will not do well without water. The result is constant hunger and thirst and low quality of life.

Solutions of Water Shortage
There are many solutions for water shortage. A solution consists in the fact that it should be investigated how more fresh water can be won from the quantity of water of the earth. One possibility could be to win drinking/fresh water for the people from sea water by desalination. But this solution is expensive and needs a lot of energy and the countires which are affected by water shortage can´t afford it.
A cheaper solution might be building tanks to collect rain water in rainy regions and treat it (aufbereiten).
Moreover polluted water should be recycled.
Also we should reduce our consumption, since without lowering our waste right (?) we pollute 1200km3 per day and the volume of the world’s water only has 1.386 millions km3. Reducing our waste isn`t cheap, but effective.

Die Fragezeichen im Text musst Du Dir selber beantworten... ;-)
