Mein Englisch Referat -- Before I go to sleep
Frage: Mein Englisch Referat -- Before I go to sleep(4 Antworten)
Wollte fragen ob ihr mein Referat auf Grammatik und SInn prüft? und ob ihr den inhalt auch versteht? :) “Who are you?”, I say. “I’m your husband Ben”, he says. “What things?” ‘Everything.’ “I’m scared.” “Don’t worry! I’ll look after you. I’ll always look after you!” Memories define us. So what if you lost yours every time you went to sleep? Your name, identity your past, even the people you love – all forgotten overnight. And the person you trust may only be telling you half the story. Welcome to Christine’s life. Christine Lucas is 47 years old and lives in London. At the age of 29 she had a bad accident and since that she is amnesiac. But she isn’t a normal amnesiac. Completely different to the others she all forgets overnight. Christine wakes up every morning in an unfamiliar bed with a man, she doesn’t know. She looks in the mirror and sees a middle- aged face and is afraid. Every morning, the man she has woken up with must explain that he is Ben, he is her husband, she is forty-seven years old, and a terrible accident happened to her, which destroyed her ability to form new memories. Every day Dr. Nash, a neurologist, who helps Christine to remind things, calls her without her husband’s knowledge. For a few weeks she has been writing her daily activities down. She asks her husband and her doctor questions like: Why did I and Ben never have a child, what was life like before the accident or what has happened to my best friend Claire? While Ben is at work, Dr. Nash does different things with her. They go to their old house, to the scene of the accident and different places, where Christine remembers various things. It comes to light, that she has got a son, named Adam, things about her best friend Claire that she wrote a book, which is a bestseller and that Ben lies to her, but why he lies, she doesn’t know. One day she meets her best friend Claire at a café and she hears a lot of new things from her and then she gets to know that she had an affair. Then she reminds a night in a hotel with a man, but nothing more. At the weekend she and her husband Ben spend some nights in Brighton, where she had the accident. At the hotel room she reminds Ben and that she was there before, but not with Ben but with his affair Mike. At one she sees Mike face and now she knows that her husband isn’t Ben but Mike. She begins to cry and run away but Mike hits her and then detains her to a chair and starts to burn all single pages from her journal. She cries and sometimes she falls asleep. When she awakes she reminds everything and when she opens her eyes many people where here. Claire says that Mike is dead. Claire brings Christine to hospital to check her. Later her son Adam and her real husband Ben come to her to pick her up. Now Chrissy reminds things, which she hasn’t written into her journal. She believes that her memory is back. At the end she says: I love you Ben and fall asleep. S.J Watson is an English writer. He was born in the Midlands and lives in London. “Before I go to sleep” is the first novel written by Steven Watson. The book has become a phenomenal international success and is sold in 42 countries all over the world. It is a New York Times and Sunday Times bestseller and won both the Crime Writers’ Association Award for the Best Debut Novel and the Galaxy National Book Award for Crime Thriller of the year. The book was even made into a film. The film should be in the cinemas in February 2013. This is the best English book, I have ever read. Thrilling till the end, completely gripping and stunningly executed. It’s a book you can think about and you can’t forget it. I can’t put this book away because at every page it gets more interesting. This book reminds me on the movie “50 first dates”, because the women there also forget overnight. I’m looking forward to see the movie in the cinema next year. It’s a deeply unsettling debut that asks the most terrifying questions – what do you have left when you lose yourself? Thanks for your attention! |

Hier ein paar Korrekturen: “Who are you?”, I say. At the age of 29 she had a bad accident and since then she is amnesiac. But she isn’t a normal amnesiac. Unlike other sufferers, during nighttime she forgets everything that has happened the last day. Christine wakes up every morning in an unfamiliar bed with a man, she doesn’t know. She looks in the mirror and sees a middle- aged face and is afraid. Every morning, the man she wakes up with must explain that he is Ben, he is her husband, she is forty-seven years old, and had a terrible accident, which destroyed her ability to form new memories. This makes her remeber a night in a hotel with a man, but nothing more. At the weekend she and her husband Ben spend some nights in Brighton, where she had the accident. At the hotel room she reminds (?) Ben and that she was there before, but not with Ben but with her affair Mike. At once she sees Mike face and now she knows that her husband isn’t Ben but Mike. She begins to cry and runs away but Mike hits her and then detains her to a chair and starts to burn all single pages from her journal. She cries and sometimes she falls asleep. When she awakes she reminds everything and when she opens her eyes many people where here (?). Claire says that Mike is dead. Claire brings Christine to hospital to check her.
