It’s the year 2019 and survivors of a contamination are living like marionettes in a high controlled facility. The person in charge of the institute prescribes what they have to eat and wear. Everything is just monotonous. Hence the only way to get a normal life is to win the lottery in order to go to the “Island”- supposedly the last uncontaminated place on the earth.
Two of the residents are Lincoln Six-Echo and Jordan Two-Delta. Lincoln Six-Echo is the one, who soon discovers that the “Island” isn’t real. That’s why he escapes with Jordan Two-Delta, shortly before she was about to go to the “Island”. They are trying to find their makers which, gets them into a race for their lives with security members of the facility.

Lincoln Six-Echo is a male clone of Tom Lincoln. He is a kind, gentle and generous man. When he got strange dreams and when he finds a living bug, Lincoln questions his existence in this institute. He even scrutinizes whether the world is contaminated or not.

Jordan Two-Delta is a female clone of Sara Jordan She’s a smart and beautiful woman. Jordan always noticed whether Lincoln lied about something or not (He had a typical look). Therefore she trusted him, when he asked her to escape with him. From the beginning of the movie towards the end their friendship tightens and ends in a relationship.

The obvious message, that should transfer to the public, is, that the procedure of “cloning” is ethical wrong, because instead of giving someone a new life, you exploit your own clone, even though you know that this person has the same right like you to live as a free man and wife, respectively.


“Cloning” is an imaginable theme for a movie, because, if you think about it, it’s one of the best health insurances, you can ever get. For example when you have a bad disease, you can just take what you need from you clone like a kidney or something else. But unfortunately it’s not the cheapest insurance and you even impinge against human rights, although it’s actually your own person, from whom you take something. Therefore it’s one of the greatest movies I’ve ever seen. The author deals with an upcoming innovation and links it with a good story and well-known actors. Furthermore it’s not only action-packed, it’s occasionally endowed with funny moments, which gives the movie a touch of looseness.
