Moles

The Latin name of mole is "talpidae".
Moles are mammals. They live in Eurasia and North America.
Moles make molehills and destroy peoples lawn. So some people are angry with them and the moles are in trouble. But they are cute and if you have a mole in your garden it`s a sign that the earth is good and plants grow easily.
A mole lives alone and when it sees another mole it is very aggressive. But each year in spring a female bears 1-6 babies. They open their eyes after 21 days.
A mole eats earthworms and other invertebrate animals.
They can get 3-6 years old and weigh about 9 - 170g. Their coat is grey, brown or black and they have 5 fingers in their paws. Their eyes aren`t rudimentary because they live without sunlight.

oh..ein fehler übersehen: "their eyes are not rudimentary" müsste heißen: their eyes ARE rudimentary", weil "rudimentary" ja schon sowas heißt wie "nicht ausgebildet", ansonsten hättest du gesagt, die augen wären nicht nicht ausgebildet (falls du das sagen wolltest^^)

build molehills (immer versuchen, solche Verben wie make, do zu vermeiden)

destroy lawns (Es sind mehrere Rasen und die people kannst du weglassen. Dem Maulwurf ist es total rille, ob der Rasen jemandem gehört.)

...a mole in your garden is a sign that the...

a female gives birth to 1-6 babies

five fingers on each paw

Their eyes are (!) rudimentary because they live without sunlight.

kleine Korrektur: das ,was wir landläufig als "Erde" bezeichnen, ist "Mutterboden" , also nicht
Zitat:
it`s a sign that the earth is good
, sondern "soil".

You should add two important aspects to your description:
a.) the front paws have evolved into remarkably big specialized paws
for digging underground;
b) the fur of a mole can be stroked in every direction ; the mole is thus able to move forward or backward in its narrow tunnels .
