ch glaube, es heißt im ersten satz >>expectation of sth<<.Aber es kommt auch drauf an, was duüberhauptsagen willst...denn das wäre die erwartung.
eindruck ist expression. dann könnte man statt theme auch topic sagen. aber ich glaube, das ist egal. dann würde ich persönlich sagen, dass es in ireland die meisten leute christen sind und dass es einen conflict between the two religious denominations gibt. denn ich finde, dass es in deinem satz nicht so richtig rauskommt. that ist the reason why ireland has been split into two parts: northern ireland and the state of ireland. ich glaube, es gibt kein south ireland. das ist dann ireland. dann würde ich erst was über den krieg schreiben...denn es klingt komisch, wenn du gleich schreibst, wie viele menschen gefallen sind.beidem nächsten satz verstehe ich nicht ganz, was du sagen willst. meinst du, dass der autor es selber mit erlebt hat? er ist auf jeden fall grammatisch falsch. the author will show us his own view of the war. maybe he underwent this war. ich finde, dass du sehr gue ansätze hast. du kannst aber viel mehr dazu formulieren und nicht immer zu jedem thema einen satz schreiben und dann die neue idee formulieren... es ist besser, wenn du übergänge schaffst ;)

In the following essay I`ll describe my first impression of the short story “An Occasion of sin“ by John Montague in connection with our theme "Ireland" in English class..

In Ireland there are many problems because of the two different religions, Catholics and Protestants.
That is the reason why Ireland have been split in two parts..
Northern Ireland and South Ireland, the Republic Ireland, have achieved their aims by violence.
Many people have died in this war.
I think the short story is about a man who has survived this war and he tells us his own view.
He regrets his action because they are all Christians.
The fifth of the 10 Commandments tell us “Thou shall no kill“ on the basis of that he feels bad and regrets his crime.

Ausgangstext parallel sorgfältig durch, da ich viele Fehler - ohne sie auf die Schnelle kennzeichnen zu können/wollen - korrigiert habe.

Ich stimme mit dem Inhaltlichen nicht überein; die Geschichte weird sachlich falsch wiedergegeben. In letzter Zeit
gab es zahlreiche threads zum Thema Irland. dort kannst du dich über den richtigen Ablauf der irischen Geschichte informieren.

catholics sind die menschen, die Katholiken und catholism ist das Nomen, weiß leider nicht, wie das eigentlich auf Deutsch heißt. jkedenfalls ist das der name der religion...
mit catholism und protestantism amcht der satz glaub ich keinen sinn?!?

Manchmal liest man schneller als das Gehirn denkt; so ist`s mir auch hier geschen: " catholism" gibt es im Englischen nicht. Es muss heißen "Catholicism" und wird groß geschrieben, da es sich um einen Eigennamen (proper name) handelt.
