Englisch Fahrenheit 451 p.56 Beattys speech

In this speech Beatty explains Montag why books are so bad, why they make people unhappy and so that burning them is the only solution. In his speech Beatty uses only clear, short sentences, mainsentences with a few adjectives, so everybody can easily follow and understand what he wants to say.

He adresses Montag directly over and over again, so Montag has no other choice then to listen, while Beatty pumps his oppinion into him. One importmant rhetorical device are the rhetorical questions e.g. (“Funerals are unhappy and pagan?”p.56 1. 22-23) with those questions Beatty try to force Montag to get. Other devices are the parallelism (burn it, burn it) so Beatty remember of the only solution to the threat of books and show Montag that it is right what they do. With metaphors e.g.(fire is clean) he paints a warm lovely image of the rough and cold thruth in Montags mind, so Montag will think it is so nice to live in such a society. To underline that this solution of a society is the best, Beatty uses climax? Sinn e.g.(Serenität Montag, peace Montag) so that Montag realizes that when? they keep on living like that, everything will become better and better.

Außerdem benutzt andauernd so, so that, then, that.... du musst an deinem Style arbeiten und mehr und bessere connectives benutzen, außerdem vergisst öfters das -s von he und der SAtzbau ist öfters umstänldich und unklar gewählt. Ich kann keine Fakten hinzufügen da ich das Buch nicht kenne.Wo ist das Quoting?
