It was with great interest that I read your advertisement in the local newspaper and I wish to apply for te position of secretary.

I am currently seeking to make a professional change and a career in publishing has always appealed to me immensely. I feel sure that my hitherto professional capabilities and experience both correspond to the above job and would therefore consider myself to be a suitable candidae for this position.I have a very good knowledge of German and English and I also consider my standard of English spelling to be exceptional. Furthermore I possess good shorthand and typing skills and am familiar with all aspects of a secretarial work.

Throughout my career I have acquired a thourogh knowledge of the following computer applications: Word, Excel and I have also been able to gain in insight into commercial structures.
