We were liars

We were liars is a novel by E. Lockhart. The story is about Cadence (Cady), where is from a wealthy and eminence ( hohes Ansehen ) family. Every Summer, Sinclairs are traveled to theirs own private island ‘Beechwood’. There she is meet her cousin Johnny, whos friend Gat and her cousine Mirren. She fallen in love at Gat.
One day, as she is at Beechwood, she’s lost her memory. Two years later, she is returned to Beechwood with her mother, because she want her memory back. But her friends and family aren’t say anything about the day, who Candy lost her memory. All people are silenced about this accident, so Candy must alone her memory back. It is a time with many intrigues, dissimulations and liars whose end an awful truth stands …
The book is written from the first-person perspective at Candy. Thereby it’s very bewildering, because also Cady is confusedly and can’t remember what has happened in her accident or before it. The writing style is an acquired taste (gewöhnungsbedürftig) , but it’s very interesting how the autor are used the metaphors, pictures and the fairy tale. The further the plot progresses, however, and you understand the family relationships of the Sinclairs better, the better you will understand exactly what they want to Express Cady with these fairy tales.( Je weiter die Handlung allerdings voranschreitet und man die Familienverhältnisse der Sinclairs besser versteht, umso besser versteht man auch, was genau Cady mit diesen Märchen ausdrücken möchte.)
I felt at the beginning of the history that the act are slowy leads the way. Here was the family background in the foreground. Candy’s Family are look to the outside as a rich and happy family, but in the inside they aren’t so rosy.
Only in the last part of the book, the history has properly taken up journey and I am couldn’t the book out of the hand, because I wanted get to know what are behind from the accident and what has occurred (ereignet) in summer 15. Then the end and the resolution of the accident has completely turned upside down the story and has shown that nothing as it’s seems. Suddenly all one sense proves.
The writing style is very interesting, but sometimes I can’t put myself in the position of Candy, because the story are very puzzling by reason of memory loss. However, I was very beleaguered (mitgenommen) because the family from Candy are very cold and the parents are argued. The end has hard impressed me and has demonstrated everything in a other light. To sum up, you can say that more behind the history than you believes first. The book is lives on his secrets.

We Were Liars

We were liars is a novel written by E. Lockhart. The central character is Cadence (Cady) Sinclair ,
member of a wealthy and highly regarded family. Every Summer, the Sinclairs travelled to their own private island ‘Beechwood’. There she met her cousin Johnny, his friend Gat and her cousin Mirren. Cadence fell in love with Gat.
One day, when she was at Beechwood, she has lost her memory. Two years later, she returns to Beechwood with her mother, because she wants her memory back. But her friends and family don’t say anything about the day, when Candy lost her memory. All people remain silent about this accident, so Candy has to try herself to call back her mind. It is a time with many intrigues, dissimulations and lies which ends in a terrible truth
The book is written from the first-person viewpoint of the main figure. It’s very confusing, because also Cady is confused and can’t remember what has happened in her accident or before it.
The writing style needs getting used to, but it’s very interesting how the author uses the metaphors, pictures and fairy tale. However, the more the storyline continues, and the better you have an understanding of the Sinclairs’ relationships, the more you will understand, what Cady tries to express with these fairy tales.
I felt at the beginning of the history that the act are slowy leads the way. Here was the family background in the foreground. Was willst Du damit ausdrücken?
When viewed from the outside, Candy’s family seems to be a rich and happy family, but inside it doesn’t look so bright.
Only in the last part of the book, the story gathers pace and I couldn’t lay the book aside, because I wanted to get to know the backgrounds of the accident and what had occurred in summer 15.
The end and the solution of the accident completely turned upside down the story and shows that nothing like it seems. Suddenly all one sense proves (?).
The writing style is very interesting, but sometimes I can’t put myself in the position of Candy, because the story is very mysterious by reason of memory loss. However, I was very harassed, because Candy’s family was very unlovingly and the parents are argued (?).
I was very impressed by the end in which we come to see everything in another light.
To sum up, you can say that more behind the history than you believes first. The book is lives on his secrets. (soll bedeuten?)
