Korrektur ist für mündlische Prüfung

Hi, ich hab hier mal einen text von einer Freundin. Sie macht bald ihre mündliche Prüfung in Englisch. ich habe nun die Fehler nach meinem Wissen verbessert. Ich wäre euch dankbar, wenn ihr den text nochmal kontrollieren könntet. Wundert euch nicht, wenn nicht alles zusammenpasst, sie macht nämlich eine Präsentation mit Power-Point geplant. Hello I’m Jana!

My presentation is about the gymnastic-club in Tumringen. If you have any questions I would be glad if you ask me on the end of my presentation. I chose this topic because I’m a member of this club and it’s very funny there.

First I want to tell you about the beginning of the gymnastic-club.
At the 25th may 1898 there was a meeting in Tumringen in the rooms where today Mättle is.
The meeting took place because a lot of young men from Tumringen wanted to found a club.
This day was the foundation day of the gymnastic-club. Karl Sänger was chosen for the first managing director.
In the beginning the club had problems with the managing directors because they changed often.
And that’s the reason why the club had a crisis in 1902. All members except 5 men left the club.
After 5 years of break a new managing director changed everything.
The next year the gymnastic-club celebrated 10 years existing. They made a festival with a competition.
After this festival the club consisted of 140 members. But already in the First World War many people had to fight and lost their lives. But 5 years later the club made a new meeting and the club continued.
With the beginning of the Second World War, the club was nearly broken up, but they didn’t say it was finished, they only made a break.
When the school gymnastic hall was build the interest cam back.
At the 1st December 1958 the re-foundation of the club was official.
1962 a new managing director introduced the every year celebration of the gymnastic-club, which today still takes place. In German we call it Jahresfeier.

And now, let me tell you something about the activities in the club.
From Gymnastics for the little Kids, who go to the Kindergarten, to the teenagers. For the excellent people there is an extra group. They training 3 times a week that they get good performances.
Then there are gymnastics for women in the age of 17 to 70, the volleyball team, gymnastics for old men and a separate ski-club.
The separated groups or sometimes the whole club make trips, celebrations or do some other activities. The people practice for competitions where they show what they can do.

Earlier the people had to wear ugly training suits. But today they’re very nice. Here you can see the old training suit and the new one. Which one do you find better?

Now I want to talk about the every year celebration where the groups perform what they have practiced. So the parents and relatives can see what their children can.
Usually the celebration takes place between the 19 -26 November.
1998 I’be had been a star for the first time of my life. I danced on the stage and sang the song ,,Ich will keine Schockolade, ich will lieber einen Mann!” The audience was so enthusiastic that I earn a big applause and even the newspaper came to me a made an interview with me.
