Hallo^^ Also, wir sollten mit textbezug die diskriminierung und Segregation von Schwarzen herausstellen. Leider kann ich englisch nicht besonders gut, also wäre ich froh wenn ihr mir meine fehler sagen könntet und wie ich es besser machen könnte:


Joseph Holloway was born in the North. On a trip to Louisiana with his family when he was nine in 1961, he realized the first time the discrimination and segregation of the whites against the blacks.

One example for the segregation of the whites against Joseph and his family is the interdiction that they cannot rent a white hotel (p.25 l.21). Besides they are not allowed to stay in a Holiday Inn (p.25 ll.16-17) because they are black. Another example therefor is that some stores will not sell them food (p.26 ll.30-31). It is the same, when they wanted to buy gas. Several gas stations refused to sell them gas, because they did not “sell gas to niggers” (p.26 ll.47-48). When Joseph and his family wanted to eat into a stations diner they did not serve there and have to go to the other side of the station (p.26 ll.51-57).Than they are not allowed to use the restroom and have to go to the restroom for coloreds on a “cow patch in the middle of the wilderness” (p.26/27 ll.69-75). For this reasons they/ the Negroes were separated from public facilities in all areas of life.
But they were also discriminated, because they have to go to the back of the store to buy food, so that white customers wonŽt see them (p.26 ll.32-34). Or another example is that the restroom was an old outhouse, where the door is hanging off and there were holes throughout, so that anyone passing could see everything (p.27 ll.77-79). The restroom also was not cleaned so that it “stank and looked horrible” (p.27 ll.79-80). Another problem is, that they were not safe in the South. Some people kill Negroes and the whites were allowed to call the police if they do not go (p.26 ll.59-62).
