The tabloids and it´s influences on countries culture

The numbers of newspaper readers drop in the last ten years.
As a result of that, world wide has been recently a debatte about print media and it´s consequences. A reason could be the less interessting in written news papers. So, a lot of europeen magazines changed their conception. One main focus is the smaller “tabliod” format. This changes, from big magazines to smaller tabloids, can surrvive on the big magazine-market. With this new format they try to convince new reader and rech a new targed-group by increasing their attractive but improtatnt informations get lost.
This fact is based on the less space in such formats of magazines. Here is a point where the editor has got the task to establish one´s priorities. Obviously it is difficult for the journalist coming up to the young readers, the politicians and the sciences interessted reders expections. On the one hand-side they try to get away from the big sizes with textes over and over because of bad sales figures but on the other hand-side the level of the texts and the whole magazines fall down. It must be made a decision for the image of the magazine. One important main thought is to reaching for a new target group. After long studies and polls you know that youth and young reader are the biggest target group.
So, small magzines appeal to young readers, they are more comfortable, functional with their free samples and the new themes are more welcomed. But these topics are the points why the youth have no or low interesst in important news like election, financial crises or natural disaster. Now, under utilization of the god-given sensationalism which is only human, stories about actors having their sixth baby, popular It-Girls losing it´s driving license were spread or super, fashionable, hot clothes were presented and in between you can find a lot of advertising. Big pictures, big headings and only texts briefly like basic informations fill the sides of this papers and the space for informational news gets rare.
The readers searching in vain for knowlegde about science backrounds, political opinions or market-based informations instead of that you can find the travel diary booklet about a trip in South-Africa, cheaper copies of designer-clothes and in the end the horoscope distributed on six pages.
All in all the facts are still there but the length of the articles were shorten and on a lower level for easy understanding for everyone, wrapped in scandalous headlines and short, pregnant sentences. What is the aim for this changes? It is only the improvement of better sales figures. And that ist the slogan for effektive work in nowaddays business “Make money. Make more money!” But in the end the images of magzines only addapt to the society because the trend is it to get informations about other medias. The magazines try to fight about every reader and the reader like it.

Phew! Nicht erschrecken, hier kommt ein langer Post. :)

The TABLOIDS` influence on [some] countries` culture

The NUMBER of newspaper readers HAS DROPPED in the last ten years.

As a result of that, a debate about print media and ITS consequences has been GOING ON world wide FOR A WHILE NOW.

A reason could be the less interessting in written news papers.
=> A reason FOR THE DROPPING NUMBERS could be the DECREASING INTEREST in written NEWSPAPERS.

So, a lot of europeen magazines changed their conception.
=> So, MANY European (SPELLING!) magazines changed their CONCEPT.

One main focus is the smaller “tabliod” format.
=> One maJOR CHANGE is the INTRODUCTION OF the smaller TABLOID (spelling!) format.

This changes, from big magazines to smaller tabloids, can surrvive on the big magazine-market.
=> Sinn? Ich rate: THIS CHANGE THAT HAS AFFECTED A NUMBER OF PUBLICATIONS ENABLES THEM TO SURVIVE on the big magazine market.

With this new format they try to convince new reader and rech a new targed-group by increasing their attractive but improtatnt informations get lost.
=> Der Großteil des des Satzes: Sinn? Ich rate: With this new format KOMMA they ARE TRYING to ATTRACT new readerS and TO REACH targeT groupS THAT THEY WOULD OTHERWISE LOSE.....?

This fact is based on the less space in such formats of magazines.
=> This fact (von welchem Fact redest du? Du hast keinen genannt)...
Ich versuche zu raten, verstehe aber leider überhaupt nicht, worauf du hier hinauswillst...

Here is a point where the editor has got the task to establish one´s priorities.
=> THE SMALLER AVAILABLE SPACE is one FACTOR THAT the editor has to TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION WHILE FILLING THE PAGES; HE HAS to establish NEW priorities.

Obviously it is difficult for the journalist coming up to the young readers, the politicians and the sciences interessted reders expections.
=> Obviously KOMMA it is difficult for JOURNALISTS TO COME UP WITH GOOD STORIES THAT APPEAL to (kein the!) young readers, (kein the) politicians and (kein the) READERS INTERESTED IN SCIENCE.

On the one hand-side they try to get away from the big sizes with textes over and over because of bad sales figures but on the other hand-side the level of the texts and the whole magazines fall down.
=> Der Ausdruck lautet "on the one hand, on the other hand" ODER "on the one side, on the other side". On the one hand KOMMA they (wer ist they? Die Journalisten? Die Leser?) THE JOURNALISTS try to get away from TRADITIONAL FORMATS THAT HAD PAGES MOSTLY FILLED WITH MUCH TEXT because FOR THOSE FORMATS, sales figures DROPPED. On the other hand KOMMA THEY FEAR (ich rate was du sagen willst:) THAT QUALITY MIGHT BE LOST WITH THE NEW FORMAT.

It must be made a decision for the image of the magazine.
=> Das hast du wahrscheinlich Wort für Wort aus dem Deutschen zu übersetzen versucht. A decision MUST BE MADE for the magazine`s image.

One important main thought is to reaching for a new target group.
=> One important thought (important und main ist doppelt gemoppelt) is to REACH NEW target groupS.

After long studies and polls you know that youth and young reader are the biggest target group.
=> "you know"? Wer ist you? Der Leser deines Textes? After HAVING CONDUCTED studies and polls KOMMA EDITORS KNOW that young readerS are the biggest target group.

So, small magzines appeal to young readers, they are more comfortable, functional with their free samples and the new themes are more welcomed.
=> So, smallER magazines appeal to young readers BECAUSE they are .... "bequemer"?... WELCOMING the new themes. (Woher holst du die free samples? Die tauchen hier aus dem Nichts auf.)

But these topics are the points why the youth have no or low interesst in important news like election, financial crises or natural disaster.
=> But these topics (was für Themen? Du hast bisher noch gar keins genannt.) are the ARGUMENTS WHY (kein the) young readers have LITTLE OR NO INTEREST in important news CATEGORIES SUCH AS electionS, financial crises or natural disasterS.

Now, under utilization of the god-given sensationalism which is only human, stories about actors having their sixth baby, popular It-Girls losing it´s driving license were spread or super, fashionable, hot clothes were presented and in between you can find a lot of advertising.
=> Was für ein Schlangensatz! ;) Besser aufteilen: Now, AS IT CANNOT BE ARGUED THAT THERE SEEMS TO BE A VERY NATURAL HUMAN INTEREST IN SENSATIONALISM, MAGAZINES HAVE IMPLEMENTED OTHER TOPIC AREAS. Stories about actors having their sixth baby, popular it-girls losing THEIR driving licenceS AND fashionable clothes ARE presented IN PAPERS. In between, there is MUCH advertising.
Inhaltlich ist das zwar relativer Murks (tut mir leid...), jetzt aber sprachlich korrekt. ;)

Big pictures, big headings and only texts briefly like basic informations fill the sides of this papers and the space for informational news gets rare.
=> IN SOME PAPERS, big pictures, big headLINES and only VERY SHORT TEXTS fill the PAGES of THE PUBLICATION; the space for PROPER NEWS gets DECREASED.

The readers searching in vain for knowlegde about science backrounds, political opinions or market-based informations instead of that you can find the travel diary booklet about a trip in South-Africa, cheaper copies of designer-clothes and in the end the horoscope distributed on six pages.
=> Lieber mehrere kürzere Sätze schreiben, anstatt so lange, bei denen der Leser am Ende gar nicht mehr weiß, worum es eigentlich geht. THOSE readers searching for BACKGROUNDS ON SCIENTIFIC DEVELOPMENTS, political COMMENTS or OTHER SORTS OF INFORMATION search in vain. Instead, travel booklets are included, cheaper copies of designer clothes ARE PRESENTED and horoscopes ARE SPREAD ONTO six pages.

All in all the facts are still there but the length of the articles were shorten and on a lower level for easy understanding for everyone, wrapped in scandalous headlines and short, pregnant sentences.
=> Kurze, schwangere Sätze? ;) Tipp: dict.leo.org ist eine super Möglichkeit, fehlende Vokabeln in Sekunden nachzuschlagen. :) Altogether, the facts are still there but the length of ARTICLES HAS BEEN SHORTED. MOREOVER, ARTICLES ARE OFTEN WRITTEN IN A WAY THAT MAKES THEM EASIER TO UNDERSTAND for EVERYBODY, SOMETIMES ADVERTISED BY scandalous headlines and short, CONCISE sentences.

What is the aim for this changes?
=> What DO THESE CHANGES AIM AT?

It is only the improvement of better sales figures.
=> It is only HIGHER sales figures.

And that ist the slogan for effektive work in nowaddays business “Make money. Make more money!”
=> And THUS KOMMA the slogan for effeCtive business work today is "Make money. Make more money!"

But in the end the images of magzines only addapt to the society because the trend is it to get informations about other medias.
=> Media ist schon Plural. But in the end KOMMA the magazines only ADAPT to SOCIETY because PEOPLE HAVE FOUND ALTERNATIVE WAYS TO ACCESSING INFORMATION IN other media, SUCH AS THE INTERNET.

The magazines try to fight about every reader and the reader like it.
=> The magazines ARE FIGHTING FOR EVERY SINGLE reader and the READERS like it.
