könnte jemand überpryfen ob der Tagebucheintrag so in ordnung ist?

Dear diary
My last holiday I spend in French.
I went with my friend Andrea to Paris, which is a very beautiful town. We had planned to do this trip very long, and I really was looking forward to it. Befor we drove off, we checked if everybody documents we have. We could not expect to be there. In Paris we went to see the tower of Eiffel. The tower was bigger than I expected it to be, and I was glad that we could get on it with an elevator. Up there, we had a wonderful sight on a big part of Paris. Of course, I took a lot of Photos there. Another very exciting part of the trip was our Sightseeing of the Castle of Versailles. The Castle is very old, so the visitors weren’t allowed to touch most of the things. To summarize it, the trip was really interesting, and we had much fun together. But the only problem was that Andrea and I can`t speak French. So, sometimes we had small problems with understanding, because not everybody spoke very good English there, but in the end, we didn’t have really big problems with communicating.
