Simple Past: Bitte korrigieren

Jason was (be) born in Miami. His parents came (come) from Haiti. Later he changed ( change) his name to Derülo. He started (start) singing and dancing at the age of five. He wrote ( write) his first song when he was eight. He studied ( study) music,
theatre and ballet in New York. He was (be) a great fan on Michael Jackson. He was watched ( watch) all his videos and copired  (copy) his dance steps. He moved ( move) to L.A and between 2007 and 2009 Jason wrote ( write) songs for many famous hip hop stars. But all the time he dreamt ( dream) of a solo career. In 2008 Jason made (make) his first single Cyber Love. His next single Watcha Say became (become) a number - one hin in the USA. He released (release) his first solo album Jason in Match 2010 and it was (be) a hit in the USA and in Europe. In 2010 Jason was touring toured  (tour) with Lady Gaga. 
Hast du ganz gut eingesetzt, nur weiß ich nicht, wieso du manchmal die progressive-Form gewählt hast (also was + -ing-Form). Da sollte eigentlich auch die simple past form stehen.
