Apartheid (wieso story?) still prevails in South Africa (geographische Namen groß) at present (Reihenfolge: Art und Weise, Ort, Zeit). In fact, blacks and white have the same rights on paper, however, the results of more than 40 years of persistent racial segregation can still be seen today (is to be heißt sollen). The white population lives in secured mansions in the affluent parts of the cities (ist ja nicht nur eine), while the majority of blacks has to live in slums in the suburbs, the so-called townships. Under the apartheid they were forced to settle there and this situation has not changed until today. Many whites have prejudices against blacks and believe that they are lazy, stupid and criminal. Indeed, the crime rate in the townships is clearly higher than in the cities. However, these sad statistics are a home-made problem: While the white population has well-paid employments in clean offices, the blacks have to take on dirty jobs at rock-bottom wages. The teaching quality in the schools of the townships is also miserable even today, almost no black child is able to attend a university, which could allow them a better future and profession.
