My working experience in St. Albans

From the 30th of April until the 23rd of May I had worked at Airbusiness International in St. Albans.
Airbusiness International is a company which is wrapping and enveloping different types of magazines for example for medicine, sports, or beauty all over the world. It has about 200 employees.

At first I had been afraid of working there because of the different language and culture. I thought nobody would understand me.
But the people at Airbusiness had been very nice and helpful to me. The four weeks I have been there I have worked in the invoicing department together with Jitka who is polish. Because of that at the first time it has been a bit hard for me to understand her exactly because of her accent. But after some time it hasn’t been a problem anymore.
My main tasks during the 4 weeks had been to scan in the delivered orders which are called “Job Bags” into the firm intern system Focal Point.
After that I had to do the invoices. There had been two different types of them. Some could have been done by the computer and he matched them himself and some had to be done by hand. In that case you had to search out the weight of the magazines and how much of them had been sent into which country. These data I had to fill in to the second firm intern system called Airbase for every single country itself.
After I had done this, I had to archive the done Job Bags. For that I had to put them into envelopes, wrote the name of the client, the order number and the date on it and put them in to the archive shelf for the month it belongs to.

At the end I can say that I really enjoyed the time working at Airbusiness and being in St. Albans for four weeks.
