The Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel is after the Burj al Arab and the Rose Tower, the 3rd highest Hotel in Dubai. And it is the 8th tallest building in Dubai. The 54-storey tower is over 300 meters high. It was completed in 2000

Burj al Arab

The Burj al Arab is one of the most luxurious and most expensive hotels in the world. With his size of over 320 meters it is 2nd highest hotel in the world after the Rose Tower. It has a cubature like a sail and this is the reason why this hotel is the symbol of the city Dubai. Because of this cubature it is unique. It is located outside of the coast on an artificial island. This iconic of architecture was completed in 1999 and it costs over 1, 5 billion dollars. It consists of over 200 rooms and eight restaurants. It also has a heliport on the top of the building.

Burj Chalifa
The Burj Chalifa is the highest construction in the world. With his height of 830 meters until the top, he overbid the 2nd highest building in the world, the Taipei 101 with more than 300 meters. It has the world’s most floors, also the highest useable floor, the highest roof, the highest located restaurant and the highest viewing platform. The construction work began in 2004 and ended in 2009. Burj Chalifa should become the Centre of the new district in Dubai. In the lower 37 floors you can find the world first Armani hotel. The other floors are used as offices and apartments. Overall, the Burj Chalifa has 54 elevators.

So dass ist, was ich bis jetzt habe. Für Tipps,Anregungen,Verbesserungen wäre ich sehr verbunden :)

Buildings under Construction
Burj al Alam
The Burj al Alam is also called the “World-Tower”. It is currently under construction freeze because of the financial crisis from 2007. The working on the tower began in spring 2008 and stopped in December of 2008 until October 2009. Since October 2009 the working was continued but only a few months later it was stopped again. The completion is not safe. If the Burj al Alam is completed, it would be the 3rd tallest building in the United Arabic Emirates. This slim shaped tower supposed to be over 500 meters tall, with over 100 floors, which would generally use for luxurious habitation. But as I said, the completion of this complex is uncertain.

Pentominium Tower
Pentominium is a skyscraper under construction since 2009. The name of this high-rise building is a blending between the words Penthouse and Condominium. It will be completed in 2014. Pentominium will be 516 meters tall and might have 122 floors, which can be used as apartments. This super tall skyscraper will be the tallest residential building in the world and world’s 2nd highest building. It has a slim cubature. One side has a simple form but the other side has a staggered shape. Until its expected completion in 2014, the Pentominium Tower will cost about 300 Million ¤.

The Palm Island “Deira”
The Palm island “Deira” is an artificial island and one of the three “palm Island” in Dubai. Only one of them is completely finished. This one is called “Jumeirah Island”. The 2nd one is called “Jebel Ali Island” and only the island and the breakwater were completed. The infrastructure working is under construction freeze because of the lesser becoming demand. “Jebel Ali Island” is more than 50 percent larger as “Jumeirah Island”. And the last and biggest one is called “Deira Island”. It would be 8 times larger than “Jumeirah Island”. The first design was that the Island supposed to be 14, 5 km long with 41 fronds. After a redesign in May 2007 it became an island by over 12 km coastline with 18 larger fronds. In April 2008 the state-owned investment group Nakheel announced that more than a quarter had been reclaimed. Today the reclamation of the island fronts is completed. Another redesign in the end of 2008 reduced the size of this huge project. The date of the completion is unclear

Hey,

MfG Marcel
