We are under the impressions that, wearing this watch means having a higher standard of living. It is in a way personified, since it may allow us to have more freedom and better opportunities, it must make it possible for them to make our dreams come true, to be treated on an equal footing with well-off people to improve our lives.
The advertisers try to pressurize us into behaving like real conformists by provoking an impulse buying. Even though, we are reasoned, we are likely to yield to the temptation, mainly because we are human, and buying this watch means marking us out
Therefore, this ad makes us to see life through rose colored glasses. On the other hand, we are deeply involved in it, thanks to Sharon Stone, we are willing to be bewitched.
And so the more beautiful the girl is, the more attracted people are, it’s a way for the trademark to be sure one has something to fall back on, it’s quite deceitful and hypocritical.

-There are typical homes which are made of several browns, and seem to be quite old.
-The sky is quite misty

Implicit analysis

The dominant color is beige, which refers to tradition, authenticity, and melancholy. Moreover, it inspires trust in us.
-The river’s color is quite soothing and restful, it is flowing on the horizon
-The buildings are heavy, which stands for stability. Therefore the city seems to be anchored to the past
-The place is alike a theater, a magical and mysterious place
-The Corinthian pillars embody stability, order, something infinite which will never break off

We are under the impression that the advertisers play on lighting and mirror effects, they may be standing for the past, and the future, that’s why it’s very impressive. Afterwards, they play on depth, which refers to distant.

On the other hand this woman, who is playing cello, awakens our senses in a way, especially hearing. She may be playing for someone, finally, she could be the personification of the watch.

•THE CELLO
