Zu 1.)
The author actually thinks about the british way of life in time of severe crises very positive because when he compares the British with the American behaviour. And he finds out that the american handle such a bad situation to fast thats why they react to crises with action and emotion. In contrast to them the british react very calm and try to handle it relaxed without any emotions. The auther is aware that it doesnt mean that the Brits arenŽt uncaring or callous. itŽs just the way to handle itAt the same time this reaction shows their power through the stoic behaviour which is compleatly missing by the americanbut on the other hand he also criticize brits a little because of their system to fight against the terror. He thinks that itŽs necessary to have courage and gaggression like the American. It doesnŽt matter if they would decidefor tsth. wrong. He feels that this is the way it is because their and nobody wonŽt be able to stop such attacks. And this have t o show how modestly powerful stoicsm is.
