The melting pot is the fundament that is integrated into the principle of the American Dream.
The idea of the melting pot is to “integrate” people of different origins to America. With “integrate “ is not meant that the immigrants with their foreign culture can enrich and try to find their way in the state, but that a form of assimilation takes place. This means that the immigrants will be merged with the American society and need to abdicate their own culture and moral imagination to adopt the American spirit as ones own. The American spirit is the dream of perfect society, which should be, blessed by god, the example of human cohabit. This called Manifest destiny is so the idea that America was chosen by god to liberate to humanity into a new era of freedom, success and satisfaction. The principle of the melting pot is so that people, who decide to accept the American nationality, not just decide to be a member of another state, but they opt for the American dream. They agree to acclaim the moral imagination of America, without regard to their own ideals. All in all with the principle of the melting plat there is no place for individuality and critical thinking, because any criticism against the state is also against the Christian god. So there is a risk of uniformity.
