Today I am going to tell you how the Dream of Martin Luther King has become reality.
Its the story of Barack Obama. He is the first black president in the history of the United States and therefore a historic moment and a political sensation .

Barack Obama was born in Hawaii on the 4. August 1961. His full name is Barack Hussein Obama. His white mother was from Kansas, and his black father from Kenya. Barack`s parents divorced in 1964 when he was 3 years old , and after his mother remarried, he lived with his mother in Indonesia for a time before turning back to Hawaii to live with his grandparents. Barack Obama saw his biological father (who died in a 1982 car accident) only once (in 1971) after his parents divorced. In his first book Dreams from My Father from 1995 he admits using alcohol, marijuana and cocaine during his teenage years.He later moved to New York, where he visited Columbia University in 1983. Obama then moved to Chicago where he worked as a community organizer for three years until the age of 27 when he moved to Massachusetts so that he could attend Harvard Law School. He moved back to Chicago at that time and married Michelle Robinson in 1992. They have had two daughters, the first Malia Ann was born in 1998 and the second Natasha was born in 2001. Obama began his political career as an Illinois state senator, where he served from 1997 to 2004. In 2004 Obama applicated for a seat in the US senate as a member of the Democrats. Surprisingly he get 52 percent of the votes. On February 10, 2007, Obama announced his candidacy for President of the United States in Springfield, Illinois. In the first six months of his campaign last year, 58 million US dollars were donated for his campaign and so it breaks earlier records. His rival was the the second democrat, Hillary Clinton after a difficult (Kopf-an-Kopf-Rennen) Barack won most of the delegates. At the 4th November 2008, won Obama 53 percent of all votes against John McCain who was the Republican nominee for president. At the 20 January 2009 was appointed as the 44. president of the USA.
